Alex Garove
Multimedia and Interdisciplinary Artist

Alex Garove is an artist/educator based in Baltimore, Maryland.  Her work explores interdisciplinary connections between science, art, history, technology, interactivity, and sound, taking great inspiration from nature and natural materials. Her work infuses a variety of media and techniques including photography, digital arts, animation, and traditional materials.

6/8: Looking forward to presenting at and attending the Maryland Arts Summit at UMBC!  

4/6: Exited to present my arts-based research project Illuminated Histories of the Peale Museum with Dr. Diane Kuthy at the NAEA Convention next week!

2/20: Super Flower Blood Moon, a stop animation featuring the Atlantic horseshoe crab, will be playing at the Changing Chesapeake exhibition in the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.  The reception will be held on March 1st.  For more information, visit the website.

2/7: Excited to be featured in BCPS Makes Art!  The reception will be held at the Vollmer Center in Cylburn Arboretum, tomorrow February 8, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

1/20: My work, along with the work of my fellow Art Education graduate cohort, is currently featured at the Baltimore County Arts Guild.  Join us at the closing reception on 1/29 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
